So I was feeling pretty bummed with myself about not running a 5K this year for the fourth of July. I have tried to run one every year since I started a couple years ago. Well that goal has come and gone a few times since I first made the goal. So needless to say I was a little bummed about missing it. The YW are getting ready to go on a High Adventure so we have been encouraging them to go on hikes and prepare themselves because we will be hiking Mt St Helens in one day. I decided I wanted to jump on the bandwagon and try to also prepare myself above and beyond Zumba. Our Presidency has been awesome at putting things together and letting everyone know things that are going on. Teresa the 2nd counselor let us all know that there was a 5K happening that weekend for pioneer day celebrations. Yay!! With no prepping and no training I ran it 3 min faster then the last time I ran a 5k!! I felt so proud of myself. I am not sure if it was the gorgeous trail we ran, the rain, the downpour, or what exactly but it made me very happy!

Later that afternoon we went over to the park where the stake was holding a pioneer picnic! It was so fun! We met up with friends, ate food, had a tug of war with the other wards, blew bubbles and just had a blast!! Small disclosure on my behalf, I tend to take pics when people do not know so don't judge them by what they look like in these pics. :-)
Our ward color was purple and we represented well! The Harpers all showed up in Kool-Aid shirts that were purple! It was awesome! Tory and I....he is still not so sure of Latalie....someday I will win him over....someday
Oh yay he does like me!! Bubbles!! It was actually pretty cool the way they had made bubble blowers out of straws and yarn to make huge bubbles!
Oh my heck I cannot tell you how much I adore these two!!! They are so great and we had so much fun that day!!
The tire rolling contest....or just cleaning up. Good thing it was not a contest...Kilo would have been losing!
Yep Still adore these two! I think the pic was much better when it was just them! Shanna is smiling big for the pic twice! Loved their shirts!!!
Kilo and Freckles took a nap together in between the picnic and the movie. So cute!
Went to the cute historic Liberty Theatre in downtown Camas that night with Brittania and the Harpers. We saw Kung Fu Panda 2. Again me and the no warning on pics....people probably hate me!
Oh Paprika how I love you! This picture was actually taken with some warning so just know that this is our Paprika and we love her just the way she is!!
Tory smiling big for Latalie! It was so fun to watch the movie with these boys, they were cracking up which cracked me up!!
Kilo and his boys....or maybe it is the boys and their Kilo
After the movie I was just being camera happy in our cute little dowtown Camas and took a ramdom picture. We love it here!
That is how the non-Utahns celebrate Pioneer Day. I did not know it was celebrated outside of Utah(yes I am from the Utah bubble being opened up to a whole new world) so it was fun to see that "this is how we do it"
